Eddie The Eagle Movie Review

Eddie The Eagle is the story of Eddie Edwards, the notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
I expected this movie to be somewhat cheesy and ridiculous but it’s actually pretty good!
At a very young age Eddie became convinced that he was meant to compete in the Olympics. Of course, he didn’t know exactly which sport best suited him so he trained for all of them until he reached adolescence and developed an affinity for skiing. More specifically long jump skiing.
He eventually meets Bronson Peary (Hugh Jackman), a former Olympic skiier, who agrees to help him train. The rest, as they say, is history.
This movie is jam packed with inspirational moments! Taron Egerton gives an amazing performance as Eddie Edwards and Hugh Jackman is nothing short of awesome!
If you enjoy watching inspirational movies that remind you to always follow your dreams then I highly recommend watching Eddie The Eagle!
On a scale of 1 tamale to 10 tamales I give it 9 tasty tamales! 😎
