Nerdland Movie Review

A struggling actor (Paul Rudd) and his screenwriting roommate (Patton Oswalt) embark on an attention-grabbing journey through Los Angeles to become famous.
I came across the trailer for Nerdland a week ago and decided that it seemed funny enough to rent. Boy, was I right!
Not only is it funny but it’s also pretty weird. The kind of weird that borders on genius.
Make no mistake… this animated movie is NOT for the eyes of children. I repeat… it’s NOT FOR THE EYES OF CHILDREN!
Though, I’m pretty sure a large percentage of kids have already seen this movie.
If you like hilariously weird animated movies then you might enjoy watching Nerdland.

Sausage Party Movie Review

Sausage Party is… hilarious but definitely not for kids. I think it barely passes as a suitable adult movie.
Seth Rogen voices Frank, a self aware sausage who eventually discovers that all food gets devoured by humans. Don’t worry that’s not a spoiler. The story itself is pretty straight forward but it also invokes themes of oppression and revolution.
Most of the jokes are pretty clever but they’re just a couple of steps above toilet humor. The whole time I was watching I couldn’t help but wonder how high Seth Rogen and his friends were when they wrote the script. Nevertheless, I laughed out loud many times.
If you like movies that make you question reality and laugh at the same time then I recommend watching Sausage Party.

Horns Movie Review

‚ÄčIn the aftermath of his girlfriend’s mysterious death, a young man awakens to find strange horns sprouting from his temples.
Horns is a pretty bizarre, weird, crazy, wacked out movie! And that’s what makes it so awesome!
Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) is wrongly accused of murdering his girlfriend. Just about everyone in his hometown treats him like an infectious monster. Then, as if things couldn’t get anymore complicated, two devil-like horns begin to grow out of his forehead.
The story is very well written! Though, it’s not surprising since it was adapted from a novel of the same title. Daniel Radcliffe also gives a pretty great performance. He’s definitely come a long way since his Harry Potter days.
If you like weird and awesomely unique movies then I highly recommend watching Horns!
